I feel kind of like we are cheating with using transplants, but I know that I am not an expert gardener, so I'm sure it's fine! We all know what this means: salad!! :D
We like to work barefoot in the garden. :)
Fish emulsion: bad smells of good times. I love using this for the garden! The only problem is, is that Dakota loves it as well. That means that I will find it in the middle of the yard with no lid and half of it gone. Gross.
Aw!I love your garden! You always plant such colorful plants and flowers, that it looks great at all times of the year!
ReplyDeleteWe have to come and see it some time soon and you can have some of our 'Fish emulsion'!;)
=)
Fresh garden veggies, awesome! Oh my gosh, that is the most rank stuff I've ever smelled. I bought some not long ago and I couldn't EVEN believe the level of disgusting it reached. Props to you for handling it.
ReplyDeleteFish emulsion - not good when you accidentally get some on your hands. Then you smell it for days.
ReplyDeleteI love how you're all out working in it together. :) Keep up the good work, Little Women! I can't wait to see it grow and maybe get a taste of some Swiss chard.
I was sad the other day because neither Barnes or Lowes had any spinach or Swiss chard! But I think I will stalk them for awhile until they get some. If the garden is anything like last year, I will be able to share with everyone! :)
ReplyDeleteThe fish emulsion is definitely stinky! What helps is that we use a gallon jug so that I don't have to get a bunch on my hands. (As if it will let me off that easily!)
Barefoot in a garden!! That is an enteresting spirit.
