He's a pretty cool guy. Or...at least I guess he is. I wouldn't really know actually because I only saw him for about two seconds when I asked him if I could take his picture for a school project.
On our last class day before spring break, our photo teacher sent us out on a mission to take an environmental shot, get the negatives developed, and finally turn in one 8x10 portrait by just before the end of class time. In other words, everyone was stressing out, and Bailey and I scurried to Barnes and Nobles, a construction site, and finally Lowes in search for the "front page" portrait our teacher wanted. Other classmates were getting annoyed with it, but I rather had fun having an assignment like a journalist and racing around Pensacola on my bike. It made me feel like Peter Parker or something (without the insane spidey senses of course), and the picture I ended up with wasn't so bad even if I did not have time to perfect it!
So now you guys have all met! (sorta...) I did feel kind of bad for him though; I think he was trying to decide if this was okay to do on the clock, especially with customers walking by, "She gettin' a good shot??" But thanks, Greg; you made a superb front page portrait.

"The Film Series." Yessss....
ReplyDeleteI really like this picture; and he has a good pose for it. Nice story too! I'm sure it helps push you not only in a photographic sense but in a social one too.
But yeah...there be somethin coo' about this shot... I like to look at it.
Haha! I know. I feel lucky with this shot seeing I tried a couple of other people when either they or the lighting didn't work. This guy got good lighting and "the look." And my going up to strangers for pictures seems like it would do something with my social skills in some way! "Pardon me..."
ReplyDeleteI agree with Hannah...it's interesting to look at. (And I swear I'm not just checking him out...)
ReplyDeleteI think it must be interesting to be you. :D
Suuure, Meredith... ;D There is something about the guy the! He's just so...cool! And being me has its times, but I like to keep it interesting when I can. ;)
